Nicholas Chamberlaine’s School Foundation and Nicholas Chamberlaine’s Hospital and Sermon Charity are looking for a dedicated individual to join our Board of Trustees. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the welfare of the elderly in need and the education and development of young people across Bedworth.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking an enthusiastic individual who meets the following criteria:
- Community Connection: You live or work in Bedworth, Exhall, or Bulkington, or have a deep understanding of the Bedworth area.
- Aged 18 or Over: You must be at least 18 years old.
- Skills & Experience: Ideally, you'll have a background in construction or management of commercial property as an architect or surveyor, or possess knowledge within a related field.
- Commitment to Our Mission: You'll be dedicated to the original aims of our founder, which focus on supporting the elderly and fostering youth education and development in the Old Urban District of Bedworth.
- Shared Values: You're comfortable supporting the Christian ethos of our Charities.
- Effective Contributor: You can contribute clearly, effectively, and thoughtfully to Trustee meetings.
- Collaborative Spirit: You're able to work respectfully with others, understanding and valuing diverse opinions.
- Ethical Approach: You can manage any potential conflicts of interest related to the Charities' work or property. It is expected that any conflicts of interest are declared annually and at each meeting.
- Availability: You can attend approximately 12 meetings per year.
Important Information
As a Trustee, you'll play a vital role in our governance. The successful applicant will need to sign a declaration confirming they have no history of insolvency or criminal convictions and will adhere to the Charities' policies and good governance practices. A basic DBS check will also be required.
Please note, this is a voluntary position and no remuneration or expenses are offered.
